Martin Resorts’ Top 8 Winery Choices at Roll Out the Barrels

Are you ready for Roll Out the Barrels this weekend? There will be a plethora of great wineries to choose from at the Main event in Downtown San Luis Obispo, and wineries around town will also be participating in festival events for the whole weekend. To simplify your choices, here are our top 8 wineries at Roll Out the Barrels to try this weekend

1. Claiborne & Churchill

Claiborne & Churchill is a family-run winery in the Edna Valley region, near San Luis Obispo. If you’re usually a red wine drinker, take a shot on their whites; the light and delicious taste has brought over many converts to the white wine camp. Try their German varietal Gewurztraminer!

2. Kynsi Winery

Kynsi will also be participating in Roll out the Barrels, and is one of our favorite Edna Valley wineries. The tasting room is in a converted ranch, where they serve their impressive collection of wines specific to our sea-side region. Their current wine list includes several Pinots, Chardonnay, and Syrah.

3. Sextant Winery

Sextant Winery is dedicated to expanding the horizons of wine in San Luis Obispo, and serves delicious, creatively produced wine. Their Zinfandel is very popular, and a unique offering for the Central Coast!

4. Tolosa Winery

Tolosa Winery is another one of our favorites that will be pouring at Roll Out the Barrels. The winery is dedicated to living up to the enormous potential of the the landscape of Edna Valley, which means that they focus especially on the Pinot Noirs & Chardonnays that thrive in SLO.

5. Wolff Vineyards

This winery, located in Edna Valley, has been producing fantastic wines for over 30 years. They offer Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and more.

6. Chamisal Vineyards

Chamisal Vineyards is a relaxed winery located in Edna Valley with a beautiful outdoor patio and delicious wines. Try their chardonnay, or maybe sign up for the Pinot Club!

7. Laetitia Vineyard & Winery

Another Arroyo Grande Winery in the Edna Valley AVA, Laetitia offers a red, white, and sparkling wines and are well known for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Their wines are great for a refined palate and are very dependent on their location – or “terroir” of the wine.

8. Talley Vineyards

Talley Vineyards is located in the hills above Arroyo Grande, with a beautiful sweeping view of the vineyards from their expansive tasting room windows. Their wines are very popular in our area, and they also ship to many other states. Try their 2014 vintage estate Chardonnay!
