New Attractions at the California Mid-State Fair

Beginning July 19th, “America’s Favorite Fair” is back and better than ever, with not one, but TWO carnival areas for the 2017 California Mid-State Fair. Since 1946, the California Mid-State Fair has been held annually, running for the last 12 days of July featuring concerts from some of the biggest names in the music industry, rodeos, competitions, and exhilarating rides. This year, enjoy all that and more with the brand new attractions outlined below. Before you go, be sure to purchase your tickets beforehand and book a room at the Paso Robles Inn, located just across the street from a convenient CMSF Shuttle Stop to stay close to all the fun!

ARCY Live

Ryan “ARCY” Christenson is a street artist known for his paint splashed style of large-scale mural art. With this talent, ARCY has worked for The Smithsonian Institute, America’s National Parks Service, and even the Walt Disney Hometown Museum. On his live event mural tour, ARCY paints 8’x12′ specifically formulated event walls in front of thousands of onlookers in several of the biggest cities across America, and Paso Robles is next! Throughout the fair, ARCY will create a different photo-realistic mural live right in front of Fairgoers’ eyes daily. Come see ARCY leave his mark at the CMSF, time and location are to be determined.

Strongest Man & Woman Competition

This is one “gun show” you don’t need tickets for! Watch San Luis Obispo County’s buffest bodybuilders compete in the fair’s first-ever Strongest Man & Woman Competition on Sunday, July 30th on the Headliner Stage at 1:00 p.m. Competitors will show their strength through a log clean and press overhead, a giant tire deadlift, an arm over arm mega-truck and beer wagon pull, a Hercules hold, and Atlas stone series. Afterward, finishers in each weight class will receive prizes and trophies.

Come check it out on Kids Day on Monday, July 24th, when kids ages 12 and under get in completely FREE!
