We recently had the pleasure of hosting travel bloggers, Emily and Karli Buckley, at Inn at the Cove in Pismo Beach! A married lesbian couple living in Northern California, Emily and Karli use their blog to inform, inspire, and encourage LGBTQ+ equality in travel and lifestyle, highlighting their favorite and not-so-favorite destinations and brands throughout their travels. Get a glimpse into what they loved about Inn at the Cove by reading an excerpt from their blog below. To read their full blog post, click here. Feeling inspired? “Retro-Chic Pismo Beach”
“Known as one of California’s last “true beach towns”, Pismo beach is simply RAD. Like… the raddest of the rad. We arrived there on a Thursday evening and we were instantly greeted with wine and dog treats (yummy) as we checked into our room at the Inn at The Cove.
This cute little hotel sits ocean side of the cliffs – we totally scored an amazing sunrise/sunset view. Our room looked the bluffs, the water and the sunset. I’d say that a win when you get all three in one!
When we first got into our room we had an amazing welcome note and the fridge was stocked with several different types of cider from local cideries (anyone that stocks the fridge with cider is already my BFF). But, Emily and I weren’t the only ones getting all the treats – Charlie also had a warm welcome with her own dog bed, bowls, and her favorite peanut butter flavored bones!
Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay long and had to continue down the Golden Coast to LA but we absolutely loved Pismo and wished we could have stayed longer. It’s definitely on the list to go back soon because of how chill the vibe was. If you happen to be in the area and spending the night, you should totally stay at Inn at The Cove. Gay and dog friendly- can’t go wrong!”
