SLO Jazz Festival
Coming up this weekend, the 3rd SLO Jazz Festival is a great opportunity to hear excellent music at Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo. With three additional stages of live jazz music, including two youth stages this year, it’s a full day of great music and family fun. Performers include the following Grammy award winners: Rebirth Brass Band, Pete Escovedo Latin Jazz Orchestra, Airto Moreira & Eyedentity, and more. This festival celebrates the music of jazz and nurtures the human spirit, once event at a time. Make your way to San Luis Obispo on Saturday, May 14th for the festival, which will take place from 11 AM – 10 PM; an all-day Jazz adventure.
Vina Robles Amphitheater
The Vina Robles Amphitheater is the premier spot for world-class music and a great concert experience. Located in Paso Robles, in the heart of wine country, the Vina Robles winery offers a fantastic amphitheater venue – not a bad seat in the house – where some of the most well-known artists perform. See Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience, Lee Brice, Chicago, The Go-Go’s, & Jackson Browne, among others. Avila Beach Blues Festival
The 23rd annual Avila Beach Blues Festival takes place at the oceanfront Avila Beach Resort on Sunday, May 29th. The gates open at noon, and the show starts at 2 pm. This year, performers include Buddy Guy, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, along with special guest Carolyn Wonderland. VIP seating, theater seating, and table seating are available, in addition to the general Lawn Seating arrangement. This Memorial Day weekend, there’s no better way to spend an afternoon that basking in the ocean air and enjoying the sounds of the blues.
